Tim is a leading artist, author and popular art tutor. Born in Leicestershire, England he became a professional in 2000, following a successful career in research for an international US company.
The industry regarded Tim as a highly creative person, he currently holds two worldwide patents

Since the launch of his career Tim has won numerous awards for his art
He was a finalist in the Daily Mail "Not the Turner Prize" award, short listed from 12,000 entrants and had his pastel painting "Pink Hydrangeas" displayed in the Mall Gallery, London


Approaching his paintings like a researcher, Tim works with the heart of a purist and the mind of a realist. Whenever possible he collects his own reference material by observation, field sketches and photography
He loves the "language of line" and the ability to very rapidly sketch the scene Plein air. This proves very useful when sketching outdoors when the weather proves inclement. He has been known to capture a rapid sketch in the Lake District in the pouring rain from a telephone box and then retire to a local pub to add tone to the sketch

His work is displayed in public, private and corporate situations throughout the world
The oil painting "The Melton Millennium Meet" is displayed in the Carnegie Museum, Melton Mowbray and is featured with 38,00 paintings of the UK`s national collection on the
Art UK website

His ability to have empathy with his students has left him in popular demand with art societies for regular demonstrations and workshops where he is repeatedly asked back.

The art holidays in April 2019 and October 2020 in North Norfolk for
Big Sky Art Courses were a huge success and dates for September 2021 have been finalised.

Tim is also a regular contributor (for over 21 years) to painting articles and test reports for art materials in the Leisure Painter magazine
His paintings have several times graced the front cover of this highly popular art magazine.
Tim most recent subject was a 6 part sketching series for the Leisure Painter and he has recently been commissioned for a further six month series for 2021.


Tim has recently been asked to accept the post of Editorial Consultant for the Leisure Painter magazine.

He is a regular demonstrator for the
Artist and Leisure Painter magazines at the Annual Patchings Art, Craft & Design Festival near Calverton, Notts


He is also a successful author with three books currently in print by Search Press.

" How to Paint Flowers in Acrylic" published in English, French and Italian.
"Perspective" published in English, French and will also soon be released as a German edition.
The third book for Search Press,
"Beginners Guide to Painting with Oil Pastels" was released in October 2018, it is now available to purchase on Amazon
The rights to this book will also be published as a Chinese edition in the future.
Recently Tim has been commissioned to write a fourth book, medium and title are to be decided.



Tim also developed the highly popular Fisher400 art paper which is now distributed by a US company
